• Ask what happens if more work is found: it should need your OK first.
• Check that they work in your area.
• For electrical work, ask about their professional registration.

When they arrive

• Check it’s the person you booked.
• Agree the job before they start.

Paying

• Don’t pay the full price up front.
• Ask for an invoice with your tax number if you need one.
• Keep photos of the work and the receipt.
